Payroll giving - Simple, convenient and tax effective

When you give through your payroll, your donation is deducted from your payroll before you pay tax. Payroll giving is the most tax effective way of making a donation to charity.

Ask your payroll department for a payroll giving form. If your company doesn't have a payroll giving scheme, encourage them to become Geared for Giving and email us to let us know you'd like to explore other ways to give.

Our monthly giving program offers you a convenient, steady and effective way to give. You can join online. You may adjust your gift level or cancel at any time.

Honor Someone Special

Our Memorial/Tribute Program gives you the opportunity to remember special individuals with a memorial or tribute gift. A commemorative gift honors a loved one’s life and serves to reflect upon the memories that live forever. A gift made in honor of an individual recognizes a person who has had a special impact on your life.

The Providence House will send an acknowledgment to the family of the person you memorialize and to the person you have honored. The amount of your gift will not be disclosed.

Donate Your Car

Car donations can help a Homeless Family in the Shreveport/ Bossier area by giving them the independence they need to be successful. The Providence House Transportation Program provides homeless families with children access to permanent transportation. Reliable transportation is a fundamental issue for homeless families. Without transportation, homeless families are doomed to poverty, and in many cases, return to homeless.

It is quick and easy to recycle your used cars, trucks, boats, RVs, motorcycles, construction equipment or other vehicles—running or not!  Plus, you may be eligible for a tax deduction.

The Providence House's efforts to end homelessness are significantly enhanced by our partnerships with the corporate community. Providing everything from financial contributions, business expertise to in-kind donations and volunteer service.
