Give the Gift of Home
The Providence House is more than a shelter from the streets, it is a way out of the homeless cycle. More than 89% of our graduates are still living independent. Our program works because our people work.
Last year, Providence House served over 300 families including more than 600 children. Sadly, we turned away over 1,000 people seeking shelter and a new start in life because we had “No Room at the Inn.”
Our aim at Providence House is to help homeless children and their families break the homeless cycle and begin a new life. This Holiday Season, help us give the Gift of Home to homeless families.

Providence House is currently helping 100 families in our program everyday. Our goal is to grant all of our families the opportunity to enjoy the kind of meal that you or I will enjoy this Christmas.
We are asking that you help us provide turkey or ham with all the fixings. With your support, these families will have a brighter holiday season.

Things to Remember
- Drop off items at the front lobby of Providence House, 814 Cotton Street - Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
- Please place all items in a basket.
- If you do not have a basket, Providence House will provide one when you arrive.
Holiday Tribute Cards - Gift Twice Blessed
The Providence House "Gift Twice Blessed" program is a quick and easy way to honor those on your list and give a lasting gift to a homeless family. With your donation to the Providence House, we send a Christmas Card to each person on your list acknowledging the gift you made in their honor.
We will send each recipient a beautiful, full-color card designed by a Providence House child. Please include a donation of $10 per card.
HOW DOES IT WORK? Simple as 1,2,3.
- Send us your contribution, include a list of those you would like to honor, and we will do all your legwork.
- The Christmas card will be personalized with your name, your company’s name or a special message.The envelope will be addressed, the stamp affixed and then mailed in time for the holiday season.
- Relax and enjoy the holiday season knowing your gifts will touch your family and friends in a very meaningful way - by helping homeless families with children.

Adopt a Family
Each year, the Providence House helps approximately 150 FAMILIES in crisis enjoy a special Christmas through the "Adopt-a-Family" program.
The Adopt-a-Family program is our annual drive to provide gifts to homeless families in the Providence House Program. It is an opportunity to make a huge difference in the life of a family by providing them with a joyous holiday season. Sponsors "adopt" a family and purchase gifts from a wish list written by the recipient themselves.
The Adopt-A-Family program is designed to encourage individuals, churches, groups and businesses to help spread some Christmas cheer by sponsoring a family in need.

The donation of any gift item is a tax-deductible contribution to the overall mission of the Providence House. On the rare occasion when donations exceed the need in a particular area, we will use your contribution to help others where the need is greatest.
